1891 Census Update

Just a quick addition to the Census Pages of the small ED 7 for Hurst in 1891.

It is only 66 families and comprises the area around Hartshead Pike.

Census Updates 1861 & 1871 Census of Mossley

It's been a while since I updated the blog, but I have been busy transforming all of the web site to a CSS format.

Since the last posting though, I have also added two more EDs to the web pages.

1891 & 1901 Censuses

Two more EDs completed.

1891 Ed 6 as mentioned before which is the Waterloo area of the district and 1901 ED 4 which covers Hurst Brook.

I have now started the mammoth taks of ED 7 for Mossley 1911. 400 families so it will take a about a fortnight or so.

However since March the census pages have been expanded to include the whole of Hartshead for 1841, further 1851 and 1861 sub districts have been published and four of the six districts from 1911.

1911 Census of Hurst

The first bit of this s now done.

Hurst comprised of some 2000 families with about 8000 population altogether.

The first 600 families are now transcribed and listed.

Hartshead 1841 Census

There goes another ED !

Enumeration District 7 comprising Luzley, Heyrod, and Ridge Hill is now freely available to all.

There a good proportion of ED 3 for 1901 and a tiny bit of ED 5 for 1911
