Top Mossley 1901 is Now Completed

Well after 6 months of re-design, at last I have now transcribed another Enumeration District. It's Top Mossley 1901.  Ed 11

268 families consisting of around 1200 people who lived in the area at time.

1911 Workhouse, Barracks & Infirmary all done.

The 1911 censuses of the Barracks, Wokhouse and Infirmary have all been completed now with all the crossings out and deletions of the enumerator.

EDs 1-10 are complete, though still need without the worker/employer/own account description adding along with any disabilities etc.

1901 Re-design is complete

At last the re-hashing of Hartshead 1901 is complete and I have started 1911.

The Workhouse and the Barracks in 1901 were definitely messy due to the numerous crossings out made by the enumerator and the CSS became very fiddly. Still it's all done eventually.

1911 will be a bit of a marathon because I did these initial transcriptions in 2009 before the censored bits like infirmity and nationality was made available. It seems that I need to look at each census page again to ma...ke the necessary amendments.

This just leaves 1881 which most people have access to already of course because both ancestry and FMP provide this index gratis. Courtesy of the LDS of course.
One of these days, they'll all be completed.

Two Mossley EDs are now Available

Since my last posting a couple of weeks ago, I have now uploaded ED 9 from 1901 which covers Top Mossley and ED 13 from 1911 which covers Carr Hill and Roughtown in Mossley

Summer leaves me little time for Census transcription I'm afraid, but the return of the darker evenings has meant that I have been able to get some EDs done.
All of the 20 EDs of 1891 together with the missing ED from 1851 have now been uploaded.
This means that all of 1841-1871 and all of 1891 is complete together with numerous Eds from 1901 and 1911.
